Model In Place Error

Hi,

I am getting some strange results when using a model in place.

I have used the pick 3D lines tool to select the ridge of my roof. I have then modeled ridge tiles using a sketched profile. This all works well until I confirm the in place model and the ridge tiles randomly shrink. Prior to this they would also rotate, unsure why I decided to delete them and do it again but now i'm running into this error.

Can you post a screenshot that shows the Profile in sketch mode?

sure thing Brad.

for some reason every image I try to upload to Autodesk forums isn't working so I've had to upload it to a free image host; https://ibb.co/D5DjrTG

That's it? You don't also have a void in the in-place component? That's what it looks like from here.  Look like you are cutting the sweep extrusion at intervals.

I have no idea why but I made some minor adjustments to a dormer opening in the same roof and it made everything fall into place as it should.

very strange!
