Model Group containing In-Place voids do not move in height when pasted into a project

Hi,

I have created an architectural wall containing In-Place generic model voids in a project file.

I would need to use the same geometry a few times with light changes to each of them: for this I have tried several workflow such as pasting the geometry or creating a model group, then copy the model group into the new project, ungroup and move it into position (it worked once with a different model group) but I have issue with this. The In-place void do not move in z-direction.

Could you help with any workflow to avoid modelling again ?

Thanks

Hi,

I think the safest way to make voids is by creating a "Void Family" (generic model family e.g.). You can simply add them to groups and they act the same way even when groups are mirrored for example.
