I have a model from structural I want to link into my project. I only want the footings, drawn as Structural Foundation model category by their team.
Because their team provides some foundations as detail lines, leaving me with an incomplete structural model, I linked their detached model from B360 into a new project, where I turned off all model categories in 3D except structural foundations, which are shown. I will add missing footings in the original detached model.
Is there a way to create some sort of filter that would do the following in all model views, including section, elevation, plan, etc.
"If model category is not structural foundation, do not show in any view"
Would it be easier to take their model, assign a workset to the extraneous project elements (Knowing that i may get a revised model from them) and hide them globally under Collaborate? Or would I be better off doing a by-view RVT Links VGO?
Thanks.
VGO > Set the link display to custom > then go to the link's model tab and uncheck every category except structural foundation.
Also, it seems like the nested link, which is the one from structural with their pad footings only, doesn't show in the central project.
