I am receiving an error while opening a Revit model stating that it is missing many elements, and it cannot be opened. It is not a central model, while it does have back-up files, I will lose over a day's worth of work on my project. Is there any way to correct this without loosing all of my work?

This doesn't help; however, I was able to get in contact with my Autodesk Dealer, ProSoft and together Autodesk and ProSoft were able to extract the corrupt families and I'm good to go. Thanks for your help.
