Missing lines on PDF when exporting using BioPDF

Hi,

When we export PDFs on Revit using BioPDF we experience missing lines on the PDF.

How can this issue be solved?

Is it a problem with PDF writer?

We are using vector processing.

First check this Autodesk Knowledge Base Article

Hidden lines do not print to PDF as seen on screen in Revit (autodesk.com)

There maybe a couple of contributing factor from the model which may need investigating.

Do you have Model Lines or Annotation Lines which are causing the issue?

Model Lines:

Check that they are not in a surface plane or just beneath. The surface can hide the line when exporting while keeping the visible on screen (it is a frequent bug that lines appear through a surface while being behind it in reality)

If this is not the case, just transform them into symbolic lines (or copy/paste and transform in your view), they will appear in front of any geometry whatsoever.

Here is the tool:

Then also make sure you don't check the box below"

There are a couple of resolved solutions.

Hi Jay,

Thank you for your response.

Our issue is with model elements, 2D detail items, model lines and detail lines not PDF correctly.

We have "region edges mask coincident lines" unticked in the print dialogue.

Could there be other reasons why we can not PDF properly?

Have you tried recreating them using an alternative PDF approach?

Do this still occur using the inbuilt Export to PDF

or

Print > Microsoft Print to PDF
