Missing Elements

Hello all,

So I have a project that is not opening in audit because it states that there are many missing elements. I have gone into the journal to find the missing element IDs, but when I open an older version of the model and try to select by IDs, I get an error that states the IDs are invalid and won't be used. Why is this, and is there another way to find them? Or is there a different way to make the audit work?

Thanks!

FWIW:  I've had this error thrown a dozen times over the years, and I have never been able to find or recover "missing elements".   Additionally, Auditing on a regular basis is a way to prevent this error - not resolve it.

Huh, that is so weird then. Not really much use in giving instructions on how to find missing elements if it doesn't work! 😕

So we might want to upgrade this model to a newer version (it's in 2017 right now). Since it won't load with an audit, is there a chance that it is just not going to work?

I would say it's more a certainty and a "chance" it is not going to work.  Sorry.
