I am having problems trying to assign the right category for the family I am currently working on. First of all, I am modelling an "electromechanical equipment", which does not have any corresponding category in Revit. Because of this, here in the company I work with, we decided to categorize these equipment as "electric equipment", which can be normally selected in the "Metric Generic Model" Template. However, I cannot find the category "electric equipment" in the "Metric Generic Model Adaptive" template. Why this happens? Is there any workaround this?
I am attaching two images to better illustrate my issue. I appreciate any help on this matter.
This is the category window for the Metric Generic Model Adaptive. No "Electric Equipment (Equipamento Elétrico)" in sight.
And this is the category window for the Metric Generic Model Adaptive. Here you can see the "Electric Equipment (Equipamento Elétrico)" category.
(PS.: Sorry for the images in Portuguese Revit, but I hope they can help you to understand what is going on).

Nothing you can do until Autodesk chooses to add more categories to adaptive families.
Pick one from what you have and you can use Assembly code to categorize them to Electrical Equipment.
I see. What a bummer. I really don't understand why Autodesk have chosen to not include all of the categories in the Metric Generic Model Adaptive template. Sure, in the specific family templates, like windows and doors templates for instance, it makes sense not to include every category. But come on, the title of the family says "Generic", it should have all categories. Oh well, I went on this rant for too long.
Anyways, thank you very much for your answer! I will study how to efficiently use this Assembly Code option.
