Metal deck thickness *Issue*.

This is my project requirement.

1.png

I Am able to provide 4 1/2" concrete topping but metal deck thickness is freezed as shown in the image below.

PS:I have loaded families from metal deck libraries but still whenever I tried to load and change the thickness it's still freezed.

My Questions:

1)How should I add 3" Metal deck?

2)Whenever I add metal deck in section and 3D views the metal deck is invisible. I Am just able to see just concrete topping but no metal deck. How to fix that?

That's controlled by the Deck Profile.  Look further down in your Edit Assembly Dialog Box. See it?

...set your preview to Section.

The 4 1/2" thickness you show will be the overall thickness for your floor assembly, not just the topping.  The deck flute height is defined by the deck profile, and doesn't affect the overall floor thickness.  So if your topping is 4 1/2" and deck is 3" then you need to change the Concrete layer to 7 1/2" and edit the deck profile to have 3" flute height.

Below is a OOTB 3" topping + 2" deck = 5" floor.
