When I import a revit project to sketchup using an addon, rvt2skp, the models in sketchup becomes very messy, is there a way to remove those additional lines?
I can manually remove those lines my exploding the model and deleting them one by one but its too time consuming, is there a setting for me to fix this?
Any help is much appreciated, thanks

To export a Revit file to SketchUp:
From the file menu, go to export > options > exports setups dwg/dxf.
Click on the solids tab, and select ACIS solids.
Then try importing the dwg/ dxf in Revit. Let us know if this resolves your issue.
Please see HERE for information on how to import Revit Models into SketchUp

Looks normal to me... did you think there wouldn't be any cleanup between the two?
Sketchup is basically grabbing a 3D DWG with all the funky triangulations...
Hi, thanks for the reply but unfortunately this solution doesn't work for me, you need sketchup pro to import dwg/dxf files, im only using the student versions, sketchup make
The original model is supposed to look like this, without those additional diagonal lines in the sketchup file. Is there a way to remove these when importing to sketchup?
Not when importing, no.
Try this in Sketchup aftwerwards: Use the Smooth/Soften tool, and then then turn off (uncheck) the display of hidden geometry (View Hidden Geometry).
