message in nested family

Hello,

In the nested family there is a message “DIN-R” in shareparameter “DIN”, see “property” of the highlighted openable part of the window.

Question:

How can I take over / transit this message in this window family, because I want to use this message in the schedule?

Kind regard,

peter smith

@peter__smith

If you want it to be scheduled for the Main family then you will need to redo/replicate this y/n drill in the main family.

  • add 2x Yes/No
  • add a text instance shared parameter = if(DIN-R, "DIN-R", "DIN-L")
  • then you associate the DIN-R and DIN-L from the Nested family to those you created in the host

If you prefer a GIF to watch, you will need to attach the family in question

Thx, I just tried, but I don't get it.

I think a GIF will be easier for some explanation. I just attached a rfa-file in attachment.

thx in advance.

See below GIF

(Either make both Y/N and the DIN text parameter as Type Parameters OR all as Instance)

Thx. I get it, finally.

It took time to set up the right configuration.

Thx.
