Menage wall layers visibility in floor plan

Hi all,

I would like to manage the wall layer visibility in floor plan wiithout using parts.

Is it possible somehow?

E.g. Coarse whole thickness, Normal e.g. 2 layers, Fine all layers.

I don't now if this is what you are looking for, but here's something else you can mess with...

Hi,

It Is a nice tool indeed, but unfortunatelly I cannot mark it as a solution because the layer  can't be hidden and the pattern remains visibkle

What representation are you after? It not clear to me.   Are you wanting to turn-off layers?  If so, what about turning the wall into Parts and then removing the Parts you don't want to see in the View.

That is correct!

I have just wanted to know, as you can see in my first request, if it was possible without using the parts.

I must say it is not possible.

Do you use Revit LT? Is that the reason you can't use Parts?  If not, I can't understand why you would shy way from using this tool in your toolbox. Sounds like the perfect Solution here.

You know that Parts is a View thing; right? By that I mean, it is a View Setting (e.g. Parts Visibility=Show Parts, Show Original, Show Both).  Also, Visibility/Graphics changes to Parts in one View are not propagated to other Views.  And, in case you are not aware, Parts are actually COPIES of the Elements being made into Parts.  In other words, they don't impact the Original Elements.  They stay intact.  So the bottom line is: you can have your cake and eat it too.
