Mechanical duct work does not show up on architectural RCP

Could someone please help me figure out how to show mechanical ductwork in an architectural RCP.

-Mechanical in on in visibility settings

-Ductwork is 2420 to bottom of duct. The cut plane is set to 2600

-I can see the duct in 3d and settings/elevations

Thank you

You should also check:

- whether the ducts are modeled on different hidden workset

- show hidden elements on particular view
- visibility graphics (VG) -> Ducts
- view range (VR) if the ducts can be below or above particular level

Is 2600 your cutting level? And your duct is lower than that?

FWIW: RCP View Range is "backass backwards" from Plan View Range.

Also, once the cut plane is set correctly the ductwork will be shown with the ducts in top hidden.

How so Rob? I know this is your field of expertise. What am I missing?

With the RCP view set to hidden line, the higher ducts get hidden lines. The opposite of what you see in plan view.

Hi

If my ductwork is 350mm dia. The ceiling height is 2700mmH and the ducts are sitting 50mm below the ceiling what should I set the below to:

Primary Range:

Top

Cut Plane

Bottom

View Depth:

Level

All I se in the RCP currently is a single line for the duct work as opposed to the actual dia of the duct.

Set to Medium or Fine Detail Level

If you see the duct then the view range is not the problem, is it?

Your problem may be that your view or categroy detail level is set to coarse.  Also when in architectural RCP, yuor cut plane must be set below the CENTERLINE of the duct, or the straight duct sections will not show.  the fittings do but not the straight runs.
