Measured Dimensions

The dimension circled below is created by using the Measure tool. Is there a way to edit it? I want the dimension to be 3’-4”, but since this is an opening cut into a curved wall, I cannot seem to get the Linear or Aligned dimensions to select either the wall corners or both wall ends ( I can select one, but not both).

I don't know why you can not snap on points....for dimensioning the chord.

Arc dimensioning looks to be more appropriate in this case

Maybe using an Empty  Door Family as that attached here can be an other solution to Wall Opening

Great video! Thank you. I will try these methods and see how they work. Thanks again.

Constantin - I worked step by step with your video. Towards the end, am I understanding correctly that you have to change the arc dimension to 3500 to be able to get the straight line 3485 distance bewteen the 2 corners of the walls, and that the straight line distance can't be directly changed?

Yes, so it is ...The Wall Opening has not parallel sides but convergent into the arc center.

If you want to have parallel sides ,then use, as I've suggested in my previous post, an "empty" door family .

When having parallel sides you will be able to use direct editable aligned dimensions..
