In Plan View or Elevation View? If you want to distinguish walls by color in plan view, which we often do; then assign different Course Detail Level fill colors (w/ Solid patterns) for each wall type under it's properties.
I think he is speaking about actual room colors.
Duplicate the material, Go to Appearance tab and duplicate the Asset, then change the color. Use the new material to paint the wall using the Paint tool.
You're the Amazing Kreskin, @georgehobel! Remember him? You might get an invite to appear on the Tonight Show after this one.

So I have to create a new paint color for Every different color wall that I want a different color?
I have to create multiple Carpet colors for different color carpets?
Yes, that's why you're paid the big bucks. ![]()
ps. I had my house painted last year. All the colors came in different cans. Go figure.
What I meant was You just cant have one carpet material and edit/assign them two different colors in different rooms. You first have to create Carpet 1 and Carpet 2 and assign them different colors.
Now you got it! Red carpet, blue carpet, avocado green shag carpet, etc.
You can of the views are shaded or hidden, but not of they are realistic or raytraced.
