Materials and Camera Issues

I am experiencing a problem with applying materials to everything in my space as well as I cannot create any camera views or renderings.

As for materials this is what I am seeing on all the materials

The material browser just looks fine to me. Are you just starting out with Revit? What do you mean "problem with applying materials", what issues are running into?
Revit is quite different from other software like 3dsmax where you just can drag materials on surfaces of a mesh. In Revit you would have to edit the family to assign materials or, if foreseen by the family builder, change one or more parameters. There are some more tools like the paint tool which can be used to apply materials.
However it would go to far in a forum post to explain how all these systems work together.
If you are just beginning with Revit I would advise to start with a course (books, video, classes) to learn about the concepts of Revit.

Thank you for your reply! I have been using Revit for about a year now. I have never run into any issues with creating my own materials and applying them to things such as walls, furniture, doors, etc. All of my swatches have that exclamation point and will not let me apply them, even when I create a new material. For example, this is a wall I'm having trouble changing the material with (photo below) the materials and finishes section will not even allow me to click on it to see the material options.

The exclamation point is just to indicate that this is an older type of material. Few years ago Revit changed to new PBR materials (Physical Based Rendering). These materials have an improved model and settings so that they render more realistically. However the old and new can both be used without issues.

To change a wall material you have to change the layers of the wall (press the edit button)

Then you can change the materials of the layers.

The structural material marked with the green arrow is dependent (and filled in) based on the layer marked as "Structural Material" hereunder
