Material: Volume doesn't appear when using two types of floors

On my multi-category quantity takeoff schedule the material:volume parameter value doesn't appear or sum up the values from the two types of floor that have that same layer, however when i delete any of the two, the value shows up on the schedule, so i believe its just not adding it up, but i cant figure out why because it works with the material: area parameter but not with volume as you can see on the pictures. First picture shows the schedule while both floor types are on the model. Second and third shows the schedule when i remove one of the two. So my question is: Why is it adding up the areas but not the volume?

Edit the Formatting >>> Select the Material: Volume field >>> Set it to calculate total

If they are of the same material they will total up

Thank you so much. I probably did that to the area parameter and simply forgot to do it for volume haha rookie mistake
