Material Takeoff counting much

Hello

I have a problem with the material takeoff, it is counting too much.

According to this picture below, both materials yellow and blue should be around 3 "metersquare" but as you can see the blue one is counted from "1meter length x 4meter height to 4m2" and the yellow one from "0.75meter length x 4meter hight to 3m2".

Why is revit adding the thickness of the yellow wall into the blue walls length and how can i solve this?

Thank you for now.

That is the way Revit works, wall layers and take-offs are always rough estimations because the wall joins are not calculated correctly. One 'solution' is to create walls with only one layer, this will result in more correct calculations.

@ARMK you can create parts and shedule these instead. You will get a better result.

Could you explain the section with parts please.

How do I have to handle large scaled projects when revit doesn't give me accurate information.

I mean do I have to take care of every Wall induvidiual to get an exact result?

@ARMK select your walls, create parts by selecting create parts tool in create tab. Create parts schedule (select parts not walls), add required fileds. To see parts in a view, got to properties panel and select "show parts" under parts visibility.
