Material Surface Pattern of Floor

I have applied a surface pattern to my floor, and I CAN see it. But, Revit won't allow me to select the pattern in order to align it. I have tried different views, changing the View Range, made an entirely new level to view it from. Nothing. Does anyone know why? I've had similar issues with surface patterns before, and they seemed to magically resolve themselves then magically unresolve.

Make sure the pattern you are using is a model pattern and not a drafting pattern. Only model patterns can be aligned in the manner that you are asking.

If you have a model pattern that cannot be selected would you be willing share the file?
