I am rendering a building with some curtainwall included. I have made curtain panels for the corners to extend slightly, to close the corner gap that occurs when we remove the corner mullion. I have used the exact same material. When I render them they show differently. See the images below. The corner glass panels render as clear compared to the standard panel.
I have made certain that they are the same material. Both areas are looking through 2 levels of the glass. Is there something in Revit that makes a created family render differently than a system family?
Thanks

... hi @Anonymous
... no ... there are no differences in using a glass material... in those two elements
... if you are really using the same one
... looks like you have applied two different glass materials by mistake
... or that the thickness / width of the glass is different between those two
... you just need to be sure that you are using the exact same glass material
... with the exact settings for both
... and same size in all aspects
... that there is no two glasses ... or another element attached
... check that in the materials browser
... maybe the curtain panel is attached to some structural material glass setting ...
... check that the curtain wall system panel is the exact one.... as the one you are using for the family
... or .... upload the project to take a look

Create another view to verify that it's replicable. If all the Panels are using the exact same Material and thickness, you may have a view graphic override affecting those panels. Also, try a longer rendering time.
I both rebooted my computer and created a new view that is nearly from the same point. Now the materials look identical, fine. I'm not sure what fixed it. I have had several graphics issues. The acceleration is not on. I turned it off a few months ago. I think Revit 2019 holds ghost memories of materials, or something to that effect. I have seen it happen in the materials library. I change materials but the example view doesn't change; Even it I change the scene to view.
I'm glad that this has self fixed. I still regularly get half color and half wireframe views. Someday I'll figure that one out. It halts conversations with bosses and clients because it makes them doubt the software. It makes design conversations turn into graphics concerns and the important information gets lost in a pointless discussion.
Thanks for the ideas,
Nardo
