Is it possible to rotate a material's modern pattern in a horizontal without also rotating it in the vertical face? It seems like the most basic abilities of controlling visual effects are missing in Revit. In the picture, I am attempting to add a rolok edge to a porch slab. The pattern is defined at 90 degrees, which works on the right but not on the left. The left rolok has hatch lines running along the edge instead of across the edge. In AutoCAD, face mapping is so simple. Rotating one face doesn't affect the other. But, here, if I rotate the top face's hatch pattern line, then the vertical face's hatch pattern also rotates. Other than paining the top surface with another material is there any workaround?

Spit face and paint each with the same material then you can rotate one individually from the other.
