Material - How to change size of perforated holes?

Hi fellas!

We have a problem with perforated holes as a glass foil, where the parameter for "center spacing" doesn't seem to work? (see pictures below)
How would you guys accomplish those holes instead?

Version: Revit 2018.2

There seems to be a realtion between "Diameter" and "Center Spacing", but when you change Center Spacing not much changes.

I suggest you try to make the cut out with a png file (Type : Custom).

Exactly, seems that the parameter is broken?
How do you create those cutouts in a png-file?
Just a transparant background?

A black and white image should do, but transparant might work as well.

Seems like most of the procedural functions in Revit material settings are half-baked.
