I have come upon a (probable) glitch in Revit that I can not rectify. I have included a screencast of the issue.
You will see that there are two instances of an identical family. The one on the right has a clearance zone on the back that is a transparent red (as it should be) and the one on the left has a grey opaque clearance zone. This family does not have an instance parameter for the clearance zone and neither of them have instance graphical overrides. If I copy the grey one, the new copy will show up correctly. The same thing goes for any new instance of the family.
This is happening to quite a few others families in our project. This issue is not resolved by closing and restarting the project. It is not resolved by creating a new 3D view. I promise you that nothing is wrong with our visibility/graphics and/or object styles as I have gone through them a handful of times before realizing that two identical families were showing up differently.
Any ideas??
Hi @rdeardorff
Can you send us a file to troubleshoot? I can share a private folder if you'd like.
Looking forward to your reply update.

Are they under the same Phase? Thanks to @barthbradley for pointing it out.
Is the grey one joined with any other element?
