Hi all,
I am trying to set up a new project for a renovation job I am doing and I am having issues with the display in elevations and 3d views.
I have set up phasing and i have gotten it all working well in plan view but when i go to elevation ( or 3d ) view i am having the following issues :
- New Curtain walls , windows and doors placed in existing walls are coming up as infill brick patten (can't see window or doors). - Note: These elements show fine when new in new wal;l or existing in existing wall.
I have looked all over trying to find an answer for this but have been unable to find one( sorry if its a stupid question!!)
I assume it has something to do with phasing and phasing settings but it seems these settings/overrides only control floor plans ??
I have attached an elevation view where i have put in all types of elements to show you how it isn't working and i have marked up this view to point out my issues.
Thanks alot for everyones help!!
I am also not sure how to change the settings so the brick pattern shows on both new and existing walls or so it doesn't show at all??
Hi pietro,
I cannot see your attachment, but did you set up phasing also in view properties?
Hi Martin,
Sorry my post was taken down and then put back up and the photo was no longer attached, i have re-attached now.
I believe i have set up phasing in view properties
Thanks a lot for your reply. .
Your curtain walls are drawn in the wrong phase, copy paste them in place in a view with the correct phase it should be in.
Hi , Thanks for your response.
What phase should they be in ?
they are currently in ;
Phase created : new construction
Phased Demo: None ( i also tried New construction with the same effect)
The view you are showing is set to Phase 1, so the curtain wall needs to be placed in/copied to phase 1 (or before) to show and ofcourse not be demolished. You've inserted it in a later phase so Revit will create an infill wall in the earlier phases (=to be demolished). edit: nvm that wasn't an image you uploaded, but the views phase as @martin.saradin circled above needs to be set to phase new construction (or later) aswell for it to show, phase filter set to none I suppose.
