Material Differences between 2015-2017

Revit 2015 is on the left and Revit 2017 is on the right. The standard "Bronze Polished Brushed" material from the asset browser appears different. This is throwing off some views for a designer in the office. Any ideas on how to get the color on the left? Everything appears to be the same.

Edit:  I take it back.  Looks like the views are set to realistic so Shading does not apply.

Not sure why this was selected as a solution since it does not solve the problem. Is there something I am missing?

Autodesk marked it as a solution for some reason.  You are the owner of the thread so you can always un-mark it if it does not address your question.

Hi @Anonymous

On comparing this in the two versions, looks like the material feature is improved in 2017 (left side) and 2015 on the right.

The only other differences I can spot is the thermal properties of the material browser.

Are you trying to print views in realistic views or use this for renderings?

Looking forward to your reply.

Hi @Anonymous

Meanwhile, another thing you can try is to take a screenshot of the color panel and check the RGB values in Photoshop and then match them to the tint shade.

Let me know if that helps.

We do not use Revit to render, so we will use realistic to generate the imagery.

I have tried to match every property between 2015 and 2017 and the realistic appearances are still very different between the versions.  It must have something to do with the different rendering engines.

This does not help. It means going to every model on all the computers we have to adjust and cannot seem to get it to match correctly. Seems like a lot of wasted time has occurred in the office. Assuming there is no real solution since potential workarounds are the only thing being posted. I would go back to Revit 15, but not able to migrate back to an older model since it is out of date now.
