There seems to be a glitch in the cloud rendering. I change a material by uploading a different image map and it renders fine locally. However, the material change is not updating in the cloud rendering. In the past this was never a problem. Anyone know a work around for this glitch?

Has anyone solved this yet? I am using native instead of advanced and the material changes still dont show! ![]()
We are also having this issue. Did anyone figure this out? Doesn't seem affected by advanced vs native settings.
hell I am just trying to darken some concrete and I can get the reflectivity to change but not the tint? I have also changed the base color and its all standard gray.
Hi @Anonymous @cholden and @Anonymous
The rendering engine used in Revit is different than the one used in the cloud. See HERE for more information
You can post your model to test to the Rendering forum, one of our specialists should be able to guide you.
You can choose to create a new generic material instead of a glazing material and apply transparency/ reflectivity and see if it works.
Also please check for latest updates and install them for your respective Revit versions - sign in to your Desktop App, more information HERE

Our Revit is updated so I've ruled that out as the cause. I am fully aware the rendering engines aren't the same, but I don't understand why it would do something so drastic.
Different project than I originally posted about, but same problem. This is the same material in the pictures - a dark grey metal panel. The material was adjusted to be darker in the cloud render and now is rendering super light. It was originally working in the cloud last week and I don't know what happened. We have tried creating new materials that have the same settings and everything just renders super light unless we choose Native and then it looks terrible. It also appears that other landscape items have continually messed up in the cloud rendering. Health Dashboard says everything is running correctly but we keep getting unfinished / messed up renders.
Is it just me or has cloud rendering been a quite a bit more unstable in the last month or two? It used to be very consistent and worked well the first time almost every time. I have at least one user per week that has issues with it failing, materials not rendering properly, building elements that don't render, etc....where we never had issues previously. Could that be an problem with 2018? Is there something new with Cloud Rendering?
An interesting update -
The user removed the background image and everything started working correctly again. Seems there might be a bug there. It was rendering correctly in the cloud including the background image last week.
Hi @cholden
That's interesting! I'm wondering if you could customize the image (reduce the size(width x height) and resolution and save it to a jpeg format)
