Material Browser yellow exclamation mark

why is there yellow exclamation mark on my material browser and when i render the material dont come up the same for the material i choose.

1. It could be that part of the material image library is missing
2. Or just the link to where the images are stored is broken/invalid

first go to Windows control panel >> programs & features and make sure the Base/Low//Medium resolution image libraries are all there...if any is missing it should be the medium Resolution (link in signature below to Autodesk download page)

if if all is there go check appearance of those materials and make sure the link to the image folder/files is not broken ie: no image set
