Material behaves differently within casework, on base cabinets, I have been able to have my material pattern run vertically, however, when I assign that same material to wall hosted casework, my pattern is running horizontally. How do I fix that issue between these two families? Do I need to set up two different materials?

I imagined that this was going to be the response. So why do I then have to create a new material? If I set up a material and made changes to the settings, why from one casework family to another casework family this behaves differently?

Not fully understanding. Maybe if you post your RVT here, I can figure out what you mean. Be happy to look at it.

It depends on how elements are modeled. For example: one is extruded from a plan profile versu one is extruded from an elevation profile. Unfortunately, Revit doesn't provide you with an user control texture UV mapping so you have to go with workarounds:
- model things more consistently (see example above)
- create different materials
- add an invisible linear surface pattern and rotate/align it to change the texture orientation
