Match Level & Floor Plan Names

So when I rename my floor plans 3 out of 4 rename the level too - which is what I want. However, one of them I have to rename both the level and the floor plan separately as if they've been unlinked or something.

Is there a way of getting back the link so that when I rename one it updates both the plan and the level like the others?

It sounds like you have an additional separate level.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

No, I don't, it's simply just a case of one of the levels the name has been unlinked somehow or by someone else working on the Revit file which means that the name of the floor plan in the browser doesn't match the name of the level. I just need a way of linking it back so that the name changes both instead of having to do it separately.

Hello @jasmin_dooley    Is it possible this level has already been renamed once before?

To find the original name, Please try this workflow.

  1. In the ribbon>View>Plan Views>Floor Plan
  2. Uncheck "Do not duplicate existing views"
  3. Create a new plan view of the level.  (The name may give a clue)
  4. After the view is in the Project Browser and you try renaming,  you should be prompted:

Would you like to rename corresponding level and views?
