Hello,
I am starting a new project as a sub-consultant to a general contractor (GC) and the GC has their own Revit file set up with an established base point and survey point. I have been learning about sharing coordinates and survey points and I think that I have successfully coordinated these two points but the northern orientation seems off. When I make the internal origin visible in my file the "Y" axis is straight vertical and the "X" axis is straight horizontal and when I go into the Revit file produced by the GC those axes are rotated away from the orientation in my new file. Does anyone know what step in the process of setting up a shared file that I am missing to get the northern orientations to align? I am hesitant to begin populating my model until I ensure that it is aligning properly with the GC's Revit file. Please see images of the project base point and internal origin below (GC on left, new on right). Thank you in advance for your help.
