Hello!
I have a following problem. I have created a mass and then cut its geometry to get individual pieces. However, when I try to divided surface, Revit still treats the whole massing as one element, so I can't achieve equal division in individual panels. Is there any way to explode this massing, cutting it permanently?
Please check the attachment to visualise what I'm talking about - you can see how Revit assigns surface to 5 panels together, while I want to control division of each one separately.
Thanks for help!
Hello! I've recreated (very roughly..) what your trying to achieve. I've got a single mass that has then had voids cut through it to split it into segments. What I've had to do to split it in to individual surfaces is add edges along each cut which then splits the surface.
Hi, thanks for your answer!
What you're saying seems like a logical way to go, but for some reason with this mass I can only add edges horizontally, not vertically (see attachment). Adding profile, which can go vertically, obviously doesn't give me a desired result.
Is there any way this behavior can be altered? Or it has something to do with the way mass had been created?
