Massing Parameters Conflicts

Hello,

I am pretty new to Revit and am trying to create a hexagonal podium mass family with a series of types. I want to create a parameter "Width" that will determine the width of the mass while retaining a regular hexagonal profile (all internal angles remaining at 120 degrees). Essentially I am trying to do what the "Scale 2D" command in Rhino does if you are familiar. I tried to accomplish this by creating a parameter "Width" and assigning to a series of faces. I was hoping that because they were all defined by the same parameter, if I set one, all the other instances would adapt but instead they create conflicts. Any ideas on how to approach this? Please see the screenshot below of my attempt:

Isn't a segment length of a Hex equals the radius of the circumscribing Circle?  Attached example I divided the circle using divided path to create 6 nodes.  Then create another adaptive generic family with 6 adaptive points, size doesn't matter, and host the family using the nodes.
