I have a model with massing and adaptive panels. These panels use embedded shared families for windows and other components.
My windows has four types. When I update these types in the project and then open the panel the window inside the panel does not have the latest information.
So in my project it will have 4 types of a certain name, but in the panel, the same shared embedded family will have less or different (old) types.
When I get back to the project, I can select the four types, but if I edit the panel family, its like the old version of the windows is there even if I can access it in the project.
Has anyone experienced this and found a way to update the embedded shared families in all locations? I've seen many complex errors related to this problem.
Sorry in advance, this is a complex problem and hard to explain.

There is another similar behaviour. I add a shared project parameter to the family type. It is there in the project, but when I open the family it is not there.

Why would it be?
...maybe I'm misunderstanding. Are you saying that you added a Project Parameter to the Family in the Project with the expectation that it would be written to the Family as well?
@ToanDNThat is what I did. I even closed the project and reopened it (with audit) with no luck.
@barthbradley I wish I knew!! ![]()
So I rebooted the computer altogether. Opened the project, in the project the parameter is in the panel.
In the family, the parameter is not there. I then closed the family, exported the family from the project and the parameter still did not follow ![]()
In the project when I select the panels and go into the Type properties, the parameter is still there. Still not there inside the family.
Ok, I was starting to wonder if it was by design or not. Thanks!!
I did confuse two problems into one however.
Basically my embedded families are not updating inside the parent families.
