Hi 

I have started using massing and built a "conceptual mass" model then loaded it into a revit "Project" but when it loaded the model was see through ( like a wire frame but not) i have checked the settings but it does not change. 

can anyone help me better understand.

This is normal behaviour.

You'll have to assign materials if you want "solids". And yes I put solids between brackets as a mass remains hollow.

Massing is ussually used as a guide for placing walls/floors/roofs.

Look into the default mass form, mass floor, mass etc... In the materials.  They all are semi transparent.  And for good reasons.
