Hello,
I am having problems controlling the Detail Level for a Masking Region in a nested family.
The main family is a door. (DOR_Slg_Plain.rfa)
Inside of it there is another Door family containing a door panel (Panel.rfa)
Inside this nested door panel family there is a nested Detail Item family that contains the Masking Region (Swing 2D.rfa)
the breakdown is as follow
DOR_Sgl_Plain > Panel > Swing 2D
The Detail Item family contains the 2D representation for the door panel and a parametric swing angle.
It is setup so that it shows only lines at Coarse Scale and a Rectangle (as the Masking Region boundaries) for the door panel at Medium and Fine scales. Trying to create the door panel a rectangle with lines breaks the family.
This Detail Item family Detail Levels work correctly in the Project file if it is loaded directly into the Project or just using one level of nesting i.e. it works if loaded into the main door family or into the panel.
But for some reason the Detail Levels seems not to work if this family is set at a second nesting level. Or at least that is what it looks like.
I have attached the family.
am I missing something?
Thank you
J
My family 2019. You can try to reverse engineer it.
Thank you.
I tried to recreate the whole family from scratch and it is now working. Strange.
