Mask Region

I am not sure if this is possible -

We are working on a renovation project using Revit, the existing drawings are CAD files and linked to the Revit model.

In the new construction reflected ceiling plan, I hide the existing canopy ceiling using mask region, however, it also blocks part of the new ceiling,  using "send to back" or "send backward" doesn't help,  is there a way to unblock the current ceiling? Interestingly, when I draw a line, the mask region doesn't hide it.

So you are trying to hide the existing canopy which is shown in the linked CAD?

Is the cad below the ceiling level? If it is above the ceiling it should be obscured by your ceiling.

If that is not working, then I would duplicate your CAD file and edit it so as to remove all items that will be gone in new construction. Then link that CAD into the project also and then hide or unhide the CAD you want to see in each view.

All I see is Grid Lines.  Is that what you are trying to Mask?  If so, what about a Bubble with Gap Type?

Thanks for your suggestion, after I raise up the linked RCP cad file to above the ceiling, it becomes obscured; However, it also disappear from other RCP which needs it, not sure how to adjust the view range to make it appear?

Link the CAD file with the box Current view only CHECKED so that you can set to Foreground to be above the masking region.  When you need to show the CAD for other views just copy paste aligned.

I need to show the linked CAD of RCP in the same view; but the canopy will be demolished and replaced with new canopy, so I need to hide the old canopy which is in CAD, and the old and new canopies overlap in plan view, so raised up the CAD and now the new canopy is visible and has blocked the old canopy. however, the whole existing RCP is invisible now since I have raised it up, so I think adjusting the view range could solve the issue. but not so sure about how to set up view range for RCP view.

Actually a better way is change the old canopy to a different layer in the CAD file so that you can turn the layer off in Revit.
