Mapping shx fonts to Revit

I am trying to map autocad shx fonts to Revit.   The help file...   http://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2017/ENU/?guid=GUID-87119589-ADE4-41AD-A796-3EB3C1DDDA82  ...says to find this file:   "shxfontmap.txt "

I can't find it anywhere.  The path they reference it being located at ...

"AutoCAD SHX fonts are stored in the following location: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD <release>\Fonts+

... does not exist.   I have searched the entire computer for "shxfontmap.txt".  Nothing.

Hi @steve

Depending on whether you installed Revit as a standalone or deployment, the location may vary. try under the following folders:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 201?\       It should be under UserDataCache folder

if not above try under %AppDATA%\Roaming

Thank you for such detailed responses.   BUT...  I let the r2017 install to default locations.  I can find no folder called ProgramData anywhere using search or visually at the c: root or any other drives root, nor any of these anywhere on any hard drive.  Mystified.  https://goo.gl/iSxfMW

Also no folder in search of any drive called RVT2017 or RVT 2017    https://goo.gl/Ul44w2

Its like we are talking about different programs.

I am using windows10 search, with "all subfolders" selected.  Is there something I don't know about search function?  https://goo.gl/RIsx8b

@steve

It is a hidden folder... Just copy the and paste in the window explorer

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2017\

if not in the above copy paste the following again in windows explorer

%AppDATA%\Roaming

You can also reveal Hidden folders from Windows Explorer.  Hide them again when done for security reasons.

A few files are located in multiple locations in Revit now. (click here for article) you have to look under your personal user hidden folder appdata/roaming/autodesk/revit/ choose the selected product you are using and edit that shxfontmap.txt file.
