Managing different working languages

Hi all,

I work as a BIM manager in a Czech company but I am an english speaker.

I use the programme in English version,thus for me is natural naming families,type, material and so after my working language.

Some of my workers are able to understand english quite well, some not, but all of them use the programme in Czech version. Furthermore we prepare documentation for both clients type. English and Czech one.

I have to manage different discipline within my company.

According your experience, what is  the main workflow should I proceed with?

When I worked with different languages was the following. Created a template for each language (my case dutch and english). Depending on the language of the project we used the proper language template. All the families had the relevant parameters  in bot languages (e.g description and description_nl) so that we could pickup the right parameter in the schedules

If you use Keynotes, you can translate the keynote file to a different language and then replace the file for English or Czech to translate the annotations.

I understand. What you would do with family name and type?

e.g. XX_Structural column_Kostrucni sloup

type 400x400. It is not quite time consuming? I am just wondering.

P.S. What about shared families, as you clearly know, they cannot be renamed.
