Manage images - how to make "Relative" path type the default?

when insetting images in a family, by default the path type is "Absolute". but in 99% of cases I like it to be "relative".

Reason for preferring "Relative" is that I keep a family or project in a folder with all relevant files (inc. images) and if I ever move the folder, "Relative "would allow everything still to be mapped correctly.

is there a way to change the default behavior?

Below screenshot is from a family. But linking PDF and images to a project also seems to default to "Absolute"

Can you change it to "Relative", or is the little down arrow next to "Absolute" missing?

Yes I can change it. But I don't' want to do it in every instance since I'm lazy and may forget it. My inquiry is if it can automatically default to "Relative". That way I don't have to change it (or forget to change it).

Why?

Once the image is in the project, the saved path isn't necessary to have the image remain in the project even if it is deleted from the path, AFAIK.

In a project I often just link and don't import. Or I change the linked document and need to re-load it.

Oh, I didn't think about this. Just never had a need for it.

One example I have is structural engineers we hire. They provide me with a PDF of their sheets that don't have a title lock. I then create their S-sheets in my project and link their PDF. so that basically looks like their sheet with my project title lock. Once they update their sheet, I just put the new PDF in the same location with the same name and re-load.

Or in this specific example if an image in a family. If I get a better image of the same device, i just replace it with same name and re-load.
