Making schedule of objects in linked file from specific view

Hi guys,

I want to know if this is possible.

I have a bunch of discipline models representing architecture. I want to make a schedule for walls that includes all the linked files objects. I know this is rather simple and possible to do in Revit. HOWEVER in these discipline models a view is used as the representative of the objects I need to schedule. So my question is how can I set the schedule to look at the discipline models in this specific view?

Create a new Parameter and assign it to the walls from the Linked Model that appear in the View--

then Filter the Schedule to show only the walls which have the parameter associated with them.

A bit tedious, but possible.

If you are using Revit 2018, you can Group the Walls, then Schedule the Groups.

You can create a Wall Schedule that includes Walls from linked files, that will filter by wall type.

If there are specific instances of different wall types that you would like to schedule, then create a text Project Parameter. Associate it to Walls. Add a text value to the walls that you want to schedule. In the schedule - filter by parameter and this value.

All I want to do is go inside my schedule and then go into "Visibility/Graphics Override" -> Edit -> Revit Links -> Display Settings -> Change the view of the link to the specific view I want

But as you can see it is grayed out?

It does not work that way because a schedule look for elements in the entire project, not a view.  Using a parameter to filter as @cbcarch suggested is the best approach.
