Making a nested family rotatable

Hi Guys,

Thanks for reading. I have a family in wich I want to load a nested family and make the nested family rotatable. I've added it as attachment in this message. The foot (made in the master-family) is always in the same vertical position, but the kind of triangle on top has to rotate with the bolt as centerpoint. Can you guys help me?

-Place a Reference Line in the family.

-Then place an angular dimension from the Ref. Line to the nested family.

-Create a new Parameter, name it "rotation angle" or something. Make it an Instance Parameter.

-Select the angular dimension and assign it to the parameter.

-Test ( flex) the family by changing the value of the angle in the properties box.

-If it rotates correctly, Save and Load into Project, and overwrite parameters.

-Then test the rotation on the Project environment.

Hi, thanx for your help! But I've experimented last night with visibility parameters since the part don't has to be angular completely, only in 2 or 3 defined positions. So i've solved it with a visibilty parameter. But however, great thanks for your support!

So, what is the solution? Or perhaps--what is the actual problem? A rotation problem, or a visibility problem?

I was trying to solve the rotation problem...……...
