The title is basically the question.
I have this complex structure, which I modeled through a patterned surface, on which I loaded an hexagonal family: but in the moment I load the family those unpleasant lines between the hexagons appear on the surface. How do I remove them? My idea was to either
- make the surface smooth - didn't find a way to
- delete the surface without deleting the structure of family - didn't find a way to
- make the lines hidden in all views, which is why I am posting here now.
Ideas? I am in dire straits.
I think that when you create this family maybe you use lines model instead of lines of reference you only need to delete or change the line sketch to invisible inside the family then you need to charge the family and override the oldest.
Thanks you. I attach the family and a copy of the dome I made in the project, but as a parametric mass
Ok i now what is happening, first that all you need to clean your families because if you use in the future could create a big problem. Your family is little rigide for your purpose is almost flat, this thins that you see are division of the crystal not simples line the crystal tried to adapt to the curvature and the divisions that you see are the result, for the crystal could be adapted i recommend you create one adaptive component for the crystal and the nested this family to Hexagon curtain panel and finally charge in your family mass, then maybe you don't have all this division that you have now .
