Hello Everyone,
I'm looking for a good method to make a cavity on a wall. Attached I have an image of what I want to do.
BTW, my cavity is not only vertical.
Best,
Mahan

Several ways...here are 4 fairly simple options you could use
Option 1: Use an in-place void Sweep or Extrusion to cut wall element
Option 2: Use the tool Wall: Reveal
Option 3: Use a Face based Generic model to model the U Profile + the Void that will cut the wall
Option 4: Add the Wall Cut as part of the insert family (that element to the left looks like an insert - door/window)

Thank you very much for your response.
The "Wall reveal" method works. But I'm not very comfortable using it since I have to work in 3D mode to use it.
I had thought about the void sweep and void extrusion. But I could not subtract anything from the Wall element using neither Void sweep nor void extrusion. What is your opinion on that?
Best,
Mahan
Use Cut Geometry before you finish the inplace void
