I'm looking for a way to simplify my practice model issue process. As a brief description, our current process is:
- Detach model from central
- Remove all RVT & DWG links
- Wipe all sheets but Project Startup Sheet with pyRevit
- Wipe all views with pyRevit
- Purge using pyRevit
- PDF Project Startup Sheet using DiRoots
- Save RVT file
- Export IFC
I recall from my AutoCAD days, I would record macros for repetitive tasks, but I understand Revit doesn't have that functionality. Would it be best to pursue the macro route to automate this, or is Dynamo my best friend?
In essence I'm after a button my users can press to automate this process in a detached model.
Either path would require a fair amount of learning for me.
