I find a common issue is that for example I have a thin roof sheet over the top of a more complex roof set up under - I set the thicker roof components up and then lay over the sheet roof, partly in order to eliminate the lines under it; the trouble is that those lines still show through. in some cases you can hide these components but in a 3D model case I will lose the component where it should be showing
its worse on a sketchy line view and not so bad on the 3D model
