Low Wall Behavior

I'm aware that low walls don't cut below 6', and there are tricks that you can use to get around this, but I have a low wall that does show the exterior layer only when cut. Any ideas why?

if the wall is set to go from Floor 1 to Floor 2 (12') BUT has a negative top offset (-7') making it shorter than 6' it will still show layers.

Kewl, i actually never new this was an issue and i have been using Revit for 21 years. when i read your message i had to try it and i was surprised it didn't work LOL. so i started racking my brain about how wouldn't i draw a wall.
