I still have the 4 elevation markers on my plan view but when I click on the West elevation there is nothing showing. I've tried the Reveal Hidden Elements but that does not show anything. Any ideas?
Staircase - My lecturer for Uni insists we only show any arrow for the Up direction of the steps. I can get rid of the Down text but where you have multiple flights the Arrow doesn't show for the flight coming onto the floor as per below.

For the elevation ... open it then on the properties palette uncheck Crop View
also check the view extents and make sure it covers the building in its range
for the arrow:
use tab to pick/select the arrow the on the properties palette click edit type...there u can change it to multiple/continuous flights

Hi, still unsure what to do here. I've attached an image from my first floor plan. The stairs are mis-aligned for clarity. Looking at the stairs the element on the right is going up from 1st to 2nd. The element on the left ( the longer stairs section ) is what is coming up from the ground floor. It is difficult to tell where the stairs are coming from or going to. I know there is the split line indicating the stairs going upwards ( on the right handside ) but they are overlapping and its messy. Is there anyway I can alter where the stairs appear/disappear?

Cheers for the help. I've now got rid of the dotted line.
West View issue somehow resolved itself, I had moved the elevation markers ( and the dotted line ) but that didn't seem to do anything the, today, when I went to the West elevation my building was there. Strange.
Stairs - I still have an issue in as much as when the direction arrow is selected I don't get an option for multiple/continuous. Could that be down to the street level having a taller ceiling than the other floors - I created each level separately. Also, on another floor the up/down direction arrow has completely disappeared, don't think I've deleted it, but maybe I did. I'll perhaps redraw it and see if this helps.
Please can I check something else as well with you?
On the Underlay for Level 1, I have it as Base Level set to Level 1 and Top Level set to Level 2 with Underlay Orientation set to Look Down.
On View Range from the Extents section, The Top Associated Level ( Level 1 ) is offset 2300mm, Cut Plane is greyed out but its Offset is 1200. Bottom is set to Street Level with no offset ( for my building the levels are street, level 1, level 2, level 3 and roof ). View Depth is set to Street Level with no offset.
I have just checked Level 2's View Ranges and the offsets are all 1200mm. Level 3 has the same offsets as Level 1 but both Top and Bottom Primary Ranges are set to Level 3. Street Level has been set with Primary Top and Bottom set to Street Level.
I'm not sure where these offsets or Primary Range settings came from but I was wondering what they should be set to really? Hope you can help.

Those are the default settings... I have posted a lengthy reply to a post some time ago on view range in detail and how it works with a screencast you can watch as well... see link below
