Please help!!
I'm using full Revit 2020 and I'm a single user off my PC, no cloud.
I completed a project on 10/26/20, saved and made PFD's. I reopened the same file today (the latest one showing a 10/26/20 last saved) and the completed project had reverted back in time, it was like a preliminary file. Example, my floor plan was blank walls, no doors no windows as if it was a very preliminary plan. The list of sheet were not shown as when the project was last saved. Basically, my 100% completed project is back to a 50% complete. Again I'm looking at the saved file of 10/26/20 but all the work is gone.
Please offer some reasonable explanations and if there are any possible fix.
Thanks,
sounds like you opened a backup. Does the RVT file name end with a ".0001" or ".0002" or ".0003" or....well, you get the point.
i had experienced this before not only in Revit 2020 but also in a lower version and i think it's a program bug. the only way to recover is look for the latest backup. and try to install latest updates from autodesk. thanks
Wow I was hoping to not hear that. I had 20 some hours that was lost. It's strange, the elevation sheets and roof plan sheet with text and details are all fine. I lost the floor plan, framing plan, foundation plan, foundation details building sections and door and window schedules. I shouldn't have to do this but I think I'll be better to take my PDF's and covert back to CAD and finish the job in CAD.
This is something one doesn't like to do when you just renewed the software at this cost! Thank you for your help.
i can feel your pain as i have said i also experienced this before. make a habit to save your drawings regularly and try to change your savings options numbers setting. sometimes we don't expect something to happen but it's a reality to accept. thanks ![]()
Don't you have any back-up files that have more of the complete model?
