Long Ramp with 3 slopes

hi
attached you will find a drawing for a ramp with three slopes, the thing is, since it has curvatures, I couldn't model it in one go! it automatically creates too many split lines, and i have to manually calculate the levels!!

what i did is, i divided the ramp into multiple sections and i modeled each part separately, this method takes way too much time, and i needed to manually calculate the level at the boundary of each slope (attached you will find a 3d snapshot of the ramp)

i would really appreciate it if anyone could show me they proper way to model it in one go, highly doubt that the method i used is the correct one 😛

Can you try using a Floor with edited points?

Hi
If you create a floor as Cliff suggested and then use the split line tool then it should be quite easy.

This is what I did guys! I modeled it as a floor.

The thing is when I modify the level of split line, it automatically inserts another!!

Is there a way to remove these lines?? Or could someone please show me how model it using the floor method, method I'm doing it wrong.

Yeah you can turn them off in your view template under floor if you expand it. Not at my computer right now so can't show unfortunately. But try to play around with the different options.

I would model 3 part of floor slab and then use floor cut to cut away the edges so you won't get multiple points. See attached

Sure, to make the ramp continuous, you have to create 4 points slab. Here is the basic outline I have for the ramp.

outline the slope interesecting.png

Adjust the slab based on the slope

adjust your points with the slope.png

Then use the vertical cut tool

Cut off the edge and you will have ramp with smooth curve without needing additional lines.

Amazing!! However, how to determine the right direction of slope for this continuous circular path with same center?
