Locking curtain wall grid lines to reference planes

Hello,

I'm having a few back-to-back curtain walls. Each curtain wall is a layer in a detailed wall construction system.

I want to lock the curtain wall grid lines to ref planes so that when I need to resize the curtain wall, I dont have to adjust all grid lines manually. However, when I do this and try and move a ref plain, Revit tells me it has to break the constraiont in order to move the ref plane.

Anyone know any reason why this would happen? Or, how I could lock the grid lines of different curtain walls together so when I move the grid line of one curtain wall, the other move along with it.

Any help appreciated as always!

Thanks

If the curtain wall has the grid spacing set this could be the problem. If the curtain grid isn't tied to the the layout pattern it should work as desired.

Are the CW Grids Independent or Dependent? Sounds like the latter. Try Unpinning the Grids.

Thanks for replies.

I think it had something to do with the curtain walls and ref plane sets being in groups.

So, no fix, but at least an understanding of what might be causing the issue.

Thanks again!
