Locking a label parameter in template family

Hello,

I want to assign a parameter to each sheet size (A1/A2/A3/A4) so it appears on schedules, I've created a shared parameter and a project parameter, but this makes it so every sheet needs to be manually inputted in the project and if the sheet is changed, since the parameter is pre-emptively inputted it won't adapt.

Is there a way to make this parameter static just like text that I can make it readable in a schedule under "sheet size"?

Thanks!

Edit: No, not really.

The sheet is in principle a project category... Shared Parameters for this category are available only as Instance. To automate it or make its value static, you would need an addin or dynamo otherwise it goes on a sheet by sheet basis

What you are referring to as sheet size is as a matter of fact inherited from the Title Block family (not the sheet) these you can make static as you can use Type Parameter and set value per type of block used. However, these values will not schedule under sheets

Hi, Thank you so much for the reply!

I dread asking this, but could you please elaborate for this part too "The label as such can be set by Type of Title Block used once and you can schedule it"

I have done all of the steps before it, but I cannot see the type by title block option to schedule it...

Really appreciate the help!

EDIT: Just saw your edit, thank you nontheless, I'll find a way! (:

View and Title Block family are 2 different categories...I thought you were talking about the title block and I did not notice the part where the OP stated that it needs to be Type in Sheet schedules.

Hence the edit. Project/Shared Parameters for sheets are only available as instance

Apologies
